keratosis pilaris (bumps on the backs of your arms/thighs)...
OK, my DH has bumps on the back of his arms. So, I'd like to know more about it.
My 5yo son also has a little bit of it, but I think it is because it is winter time--I will watch to see if it goes away in the summer. He had very dry hands but now that I got very regularly (90%) on him taking his teaspoon of CLO every day his hands are no longer dry. So, it seems if the arms were just dry skin, they might have cleared up by now. He has no other symptoms whatsoever--I'm on this forum for me and for general knowledge. Fortunately my kids are quite healthy. The only other thing that I can say about my son is that he gets bloody noses at night, but not much if I run the humidifier each night. So, it's just these bumps that I'm wondering about.
Again, would like to know for DH. DH also has a whole history that I could post a long page on, even though he would say his only problem is overweight. I can see all the underlying reasons for why that might be:-) One of those things is that over the years he has slowly developed cysts all over his body. They are not pre-cancerous - have had a standard doctor check them. But, this is clearly not optimal. Also, he did two rounds of Accutane (1 as teen, 1 as adult).
DH is not on CLO yet, but I can no longer accept that so I am starting with some Carlson's capsules. He hates getting the fish burps but will not take it on a spoon.

Dr. Fullmer: Thanks for your response.
The water we use is actually a Michigan well water, on our property near a lake, which has been softened. We feel that we are still getting minerals because it is SO hard that there's just no way that our softener is taking it all out. And, it still has a taste to it. We soften it to see that it is not putting lots of rust on our fixtures. If it runs out of salt or even gets low, we immediately start seeing yellow in the toilets and tub and laundry and my hands can feel it. I take heart knowing that we at least have water from the ground and not municipal which would have hormones, chlorine, etc. in it. And, it's not coming to us in a plastic bottle? We also salt our food with Redmond RealSalt.
What do you think about this water? And, in our humidifier at night?
What we are doing now is giving Vit C with bioflavanoids each day (Thorne Research which doesn't have any stearates) and multivitamin and also trying a saline rinse at night. There is a bottle from the store that delivers a fine mist and I think it will be a great way for him to segue some day to a neti pot.
well water will make his problem worse. The softener contains NaCl-. The Cl- will bind to the Ca++, leaving Na+. In time it will dry his nose further and if you drink it eventually leads to kidney stones and high blood pressure. If you choose to drink it, don't salt your food.
I don't even remember high school chemistry. Would switching to the potassium softener salt help?
Would adding something to the water after softening help (with either sodium or potassium softener salt)?

We are using the Thorne Ascorbic Acid with Citrus bioflavanoids.
Dr. Jason Fullmer said:vitamin a is the vitamin of the immune system. we don't use a multivitamin because the amounts are too low. body balance is a liquid which works very well if you are looking for something like that.
We are taking cod liver oil with Vit A amount based on westonaprice.org recommendation for his age.
Do you mean to say that the multivitamin is too low in *VitA* or that it is too low in EVERYTHING?
Is body balance the brand name?

So, you are pumping the solution through the sinuses, because rinsing it through is not enough if it is clogged? I would like a lot more info on sinus cleansing because at times I rely on it, but so far I just use standard neti pot. Can you recommend a resource that talks about rinsing upside down or into deeper recesses? If I am using an injector, what am I looking for or trying to achieve?
THANK YOU!
