How do I detox from Zoloft? I have been taking 150mg per day for the past year and a half. My newest psychologist said my PPD is from lack of sleep. He prescribed trazodone 50mg to take at bedtime with food. I found it worked well the first night, but the second night I had the same insomnia I had experienced. I have been off my meds for a little over a week, I'm not experiencing quite the same withdraw I had the prior time I was taken off my meds to go onto something else. Today I'm going to start an exercise regime. I had been doing green smoothies over the past week, but my blender broke last night and I am now on the wait list for a vitamix through QVC. I have also been doing a detox tea. I was wondering if there's anything else I can do to detox from the meds and restore a more natural sleeping pattern (last night I had terrible tinnitus - ringing in my ears and was up from 1-5am, which is unusual for me, normally my nightly rest consists of going to bed around 10pm, but waking with my 21 month old a few times, even though we've weaned 2 months ago and then he and his big brother 3 3/4 yrs old are usually up between 5am and 7am), and restore my serotonin - I know sleep and exercise are crucial.
Here is more about detoxification and nutrients.
More about sleep and insomnia support.
I'd focus on magnesium and Epsom salt baths.
