I would change my diet as recommended. I would wonder about the no iodine thing though. We all need a small amount. I know he's saying that iodine makes Hashi's worse but I don't know how you could live with none of it. I am not a doctor though.
Eat more fat, especially coconut oil, avocado, etc. Definitely cut out the sugar. Soy is a problem too because it is a goitrogen. Best of luck and I hope someone with more info replies to this soon!
It is important to consume adequate selenium alongside any iodine dosing. 80% of women with thyroid issues have Hashimotos. So, I agree with EXTREME caution about supplementing iodine. Food sources of iodine have co-nutrients which support the body to balance.

Pat thanks for great info. I undertand about not taking in iodine supplements with hashis but would eating a sheet of toasted nori a few times a week be ok? Nori has the lowest iodine level of all seaweeds btw. Thanks again ann
