Wrecked My Knee!

How ironic is it that I was trying to run more miles using a method that was supposed to reduce knee pain, and then I fell and tore ligaments in that knee? No more running for me anytime soon! Although I do give a thumbs up to those shoes!!! They did make my joints feel better.

How I did it:

I was visiting the goats. They were in the woods, behind a gate that had a lot of extra fencing jimmy-rigged around the ends and all over the gate, so it was a pain in the rear to…

Fruit & Veggie Wash - homemade recipe

Found this recipe for homemade fruit & veggie wash:

  • 8 oz. water

Eye Injuries Treatment

Self-Care at Home

Gastroenteritis, caused by a virus that has entered the digestive tract or contaminated food or water,

causes inflammation, cramping, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Severe cases can… Continue

My Attempt to Stop My Knee Pain With "Barefoot" Running

Look at these crazy shoes! They have NO padding or support. They fit your feet like a glove, with a thin rubber sole. They are Vibram Five Fingers.

I am learning about barefoot running. I heard about it through a friend, who knew I was having knee trouble. I had to start keeping my milage below 7 miles per run because my knees would hurt so bad. Then they started hurting after only 3, so I had to start thinking of alternatives. I didn't want to quit running. I didn't…
