~ Food Has Power ~
These 2 men are on TV promoting supplements such as CoQ10 by saying that the levels decline as you age and that you would have to eat so many pounds of food to get the amount in just 2 little capsules. Well, maybe we don't need the amount in those 2 little capsules. Maybe we just need to eat the food and get all our nutrients in the package God intended. Is there anything that we need to supplement that we can't get in food?

I am taking it right now because I am on a super immune-boosting supplement protocol for auto immune issues and deficiency. To be honest, I can't tell whether it is making a difference for me because the protocol has a lot of elements (many of which I would not take otherwise). I am coming around to acknowledging that my specific situation may require supplements, even of food-available nutrients, because the level of dysbiosis in my body is so deep and pervasive that I can't sort it out through food alone. Or, if I can, it will require a professionally prescribed diet that will be the equivalent in effort and expense to the cancer diet protocols.
I used to be very anti-supplement, but I'm less sure all the time.
I'm in complete agreement with you on giving nature our total faith and assurance, it has always been part of us and takes care of us in many ways. I think the need for supplements should be decided on a personal basis depending on what exactly you are trying to supplement for because if it isn't necessary it could do more harm than good.
I don't think that there is anything that you need to supplement unless you have health complications.
This is a very interesting post to me considering I was just reading this article earlier today concerning advancements in science prolonging lifespan and of course it is a supplement but it's an interesting perspective on just how much human consciousness is growing.
The article sources a quote that states:
""A team of scientists, led by Vladimir P. Skulachev -the Dean of the School of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics at MSU -have begun work further looking into this subject. Vladimir is a regarded as one of the worlds best in his field, and is the founder of “mitochondrial electricity” and the “Skulachev Ion,” which are penetrating ions that are electrophoretically targeted to mitochondria. His discoveries may extend human life span and cure age-related disease including cancer, cataracts and osteoporosis. The drug works by targeting mitochondrial oxidation.""

I agree with the author of the article too, in stating that this sort of advancement is part of human evolution and isn't necessarily "playing god" However, I don't expect this sort of breakthrough to become widely available, although that would be nice.
However, what I found was there is actually something quite similar, and ironically enough it is CoQ10 -- but this is Ubiquinol CoQ10 with BioPQQ that seems to have made some pretty remarkable breakthroughs:
"Life Extension® continues to develop increasingly potent mitochondria-boosting formulations.1-4 The new Super Ubiquinol CoQ10 with BioPQQ® contains shilajit (which studies have shown doubles CoQ10 levels in the mitochondria) plus the breakthrough compound PQQ (shown to support the spontaneous generation of new mitochondria in aging cells). This represents a three-way strategy for enhanced mitochondrial support. "
