~ Food Has Power ~
I'm on a pretty active section of life's rollercoaster right now! I have symptoms of Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella. I have not had bloodwork done because I haven't connected with a doc who can order good tests, and even then I am concerned that they are inaccurate. I may try to have some done but I don't have unlimited resources.
I am working with a classical homeopath whom I respect a great deal. One step forward, two steps back. I am feeling positive and frustrated by turns, but learning all the time and getting better at breathing.
Anyone who has been there? Especially without antibiotics? I am not ideologically opposed to abx (I've been down that rabbit hole before) but I AM opposed to throwing toxic stuff into my body in huge doses without a solid understanding of why it is going to work. It does not seem to me from what I read that it is possible to eradicate the disease without pretty much killing yourself using drugs. I think abx for Lyme and company is a lot like chemo. There is a chance it will work, but if it doesn't, the body is without resources. Even in illness, ESPECIALLY in illness, I like to think of the healing process as a partnership and a negotiation, not a battle. Abx feels like war.

Here is my current status, and the complete course of my treatment. I'm posting because I think it is downright miraculous so far, and I hope that others can look to this and see a way out of the allopathic downward spiral.
My symptoms began in March, when I started to have strange leg cramps. As the month progressed, the stiffness and cramping moved around my legs, finally settling in my knees as swelling and arthritic pain. At times I was nearly immobilized. I had a "cold" for two or three months, with some flu-like symptoms in the form of chills and aches. After those passed, there was a week where I had sudden headaches every afternoon. At this point I suspected Lyme and sought treatment. I believe that was the end of May.
I met with a classical homeopath. I already eat a grain-free diet, but I am mostly dairy-free right now as well, and eating very little meat (although I do eat fish sometimes, stocks regularly, and liver a few times a week). No pork. No alcohol. No caffeine. No refined sugar. She started me on Ledum 30c, and it made a huge difference and then I regressed. We did the 1M dose with the same results. THEN I mentioned I was still drinking coffee so she asked me to stop :) My knee got HUGE and very painful, I got very irritable and depressed, I needed a nap every afternoon and was fatigued throughout the day.
I took some teasel, cats claw and stephania over the July holiday weekend when I was in terrible pain and couldn't reach her. The symptoms improved immediately but those treatments do not address the root issue and they DO interfere with homeopathics. We started Kalmia with a 200c dose that week (no more tinctures) and I had some slow improvement, but not dramatic. When my knee got bad again I took a small supplemental dose of Kalmia, and that helped a lot, so I did it again twice.
Then I started having severe chest-based anxiety symptoms. I took more kalmia thinking it would help and got SO MUCH WORSE. I figured out that I had taken too much remedy. I talked to the homeopath who confirmed that I was proving the remedy, which means we are on the right track, but I had certainly overloaded my system and so I haven't taken any remedy since. That was last week.
Right now I have NO FATIGUE, NO ANXIETY, and almost complete mobility with very little stiffness. While we aren't through with treatment (I have yet to take the nosode), I FEEL 95% better and I am confident that I will return to 100% health without having taken a single pharmaceutical drug for Lyme.
It may not work for everyone, but it sure works for me!
