~ Food Has Power ~
I've never done this before, but thought about doing it. I just started doing milk kefir - is it similar?Similar in that you get a wonderful drink that is full of probiotics and goodness. You can easily search kombucha online or look in the kombucha group here on Heal Thyself. But basically you start out with the scoby, add a brewed sweet tea that has been cooled to room temp. Let it sit for a couple of weeks (or more depending on how strong you like it) then you strain out most of the kombucha, to drink, and leave the scoby and a little of the kombucha in a jug and start the process all over again. It takes a little longer than kefir.Sorry I keep trying to edit my reply to separate your initial question and my response but it is not formatting. But you can see the first line is your question, followed by my response :-)
Christine, I am going to "friend" you here on Heal Thyself. Once you accept the friend request you can send me a private message with your mailing address. I hope to get these packaged up today and out in the mail tomorrow, we will see how the day goes. LOL. I will message you when the scoby is actually in the mail. :-)
Pam

Do you still have any extra scobys?
Thanks!

I do have extra scobys. But right now I am getting ready for a conference in another couple weeks so am really crunched time-wise. After the conference I will post again and will be better able to get mailing addresses and get them in the mail.
Pam
Thanks so much Pam, I look forward to hearing from you after the conference!
