What is the best way to detox the body of metals and toxins and get everything running properly? I feel so sluggish and I have had my thyroid checked many times. I tried a rapid cleanse but it just didn't seem to work for me. Is there a food or tea remedy that I can use? Any suggestions are most welcome

Best, easiest, quickest, safest are all different goals. Depending upon your priorities and whether you are ttc, pregnant or nursing are other variables.

But, the 14 Steps for Healthy Guts, Whole Foods Heal and MTHFR Manifesto describe some of the nutrients and issues involved in toxin overload. Basically, you can decrease toxin exposure and increase toxin elimination. Both are related to the foods we choose.

The best 100% guarantee most effivce method and safest way is to do a super major detox with alot of fresh straight dark leafy greens veggies press into fresh juice. Basically your body is dealing with inflammation. The only two juicers i recommend for people that is dealing with real serious disease/cancer is the super angel juicer and the norwalk. But if you dont have the money for either of those juicers i mention, just buy any juicer that will do greens really well. Just make sure to consume it right away after its been juiced.
Here is my personal recipe. This recipe will reverse all type of illness with using the right juicer, but any good juicer that does leafy greens well will do just fine as long you consume it right after its been juiced.

Heres the recipe,
dandelion herb
kale
beets
arugula
endive
Collard
Swiss Chard
celery
cilantro
Danny, several of these are contraindicated for anyone with candida or mercury issues as it dumps too much mercury out of body stores into blood circulation too fast. Faster than the body can effectively bind and excrete it. Therefore, the circulating mercury is mobilized and must redeposit into the organs, brain, gut, fetus and breastmilk.

See Amalgam Illness by Andy Cutler.

Specifically, dandelion herb, beet greens and cilantro mobilize but do not bind mercury for safe excretion. There are nutrients which help to excrete mercury: vit C, selenium, molybdenum, magnesium, sulfate, etc. These can be found in whole foods, and Epsom salt baths help too.

Thanks for the info pat. But i have study everything there is to study about health and the human body. I have treat many friends who suffer from candida and mercury. I strongly stand by my method if use correctly along with fresh press fruits juices and whole raw procduce.
Thank you so much. I have been told I have an aluminum toxicity and very low Vitamin D3. I like my greens and all but is there any way to make it taste better? Not sure about the whole mercury thing since I am very new to all of this. I went and had muscle testing done a while ago and also had a food sensitivity test run. I really don't eat a lot of fish which of course I associate with mercury but I know that is not the only source. Can you add flavor without ruining the benefits?
You could add fresh juiced apples to sweetening it up abit.
