~ Food Has Power ~
My 17 year old son has pneumonia and is in the hospital. He has been put on antibiotics and is doing better. He has a bad cough. He is quite weak and tires quickly. I need to build up his strength, his immune system, and help him get over his pneumonia faster. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My priority would be Omega 3 and probiotics. Some Master Tonic could help too. I'd avoid dairy. Add bone broth!
Zinc and vit A would be other important nutrients to include. Adaptogens for stress have medical research as support for pneumonia.
Does he have other health issues, new stress, how is his diet?

Bubbies sauerkraut juice, from the refrigerated section, or any yogurt with "live cultures" would be tons more probiotic benefit than any commercial probiotic.
Probiotic Selection.
Adaptogens are herbs which help the body deal with stress. I like this herbal adrenal support. I buy the 4oz bottle and take it 2-4x a day as needed during stressful times.
Onions and rosemary help with coughs. Onion soup/broth/steam, just toss some rosemary in too.
Is school a stressor? Maybe homeschool (for a semester?) to relieve the academic stress of feeling behind? He could finish at his own pace. (we homeschool and love it!)
