Hello Pat and Others!

Thank you for all of the wonderful information you are posting here.  At some point I will write in my "story" [it's LONG] for now I am just wondering a few things about detox and your outline of steps...I really, really need to detox but am nursing and am wondering what is safe to do that will not excrete into milk?

The only step that has any specific notes about nursing limitations is kombucha.  I do have mercury fillings and am nursing, but I have been drinking kombucha throughout pregnancy and this far into my 8 month old baby's liefe.  Should I stop?  I recently was muscle tested and the kombucha was OK, and I did not show any problems with heavy metals or dental problems.  (Just everything else!!)  Does anyone have info on if muscle testing is accurate/reliable?  Would results like this suggest I should continue or no?

I get horrible stomach cramping from sauerkraut.  I take bottled probiotic with no problem but the sauerkraut makes me feel terrible.  Should I keep going with little tiny amounts or stop?  It does not affect my nursing son at all.  I am guessing this is a candida die off issue?

Are these steps all safe to do for a child?  My three year old is also in need of health-building; would all the same steps be recommended?

Thanks again so much

Pat
I'm also curious as I've read concerns about coconut oil while nursing & have found that DS (12 months) and I do better if I keep it to only around 1 tspn rather than 1 tblespn.

I have a question about one of the 14 steps as well.  I'm wondering if the egg yolk recommended in the last step should be raw ?  Should the white be discarded (used for something else) or can that be eaten for this healthy gut?

Sorry Michelle,  I have no helpful experiences for you.   Just thought I'd  post under your headline instead of opening another one for the same topic.  Hopefully in the 6 months since your post you have found a satisfactory way to detox.   My only thought is maybe you could find another temporary source of milk for your baby or wean him/her completely, then use a  pump to keep your milk flowing during detox, then return to breast feeding when your cleansing is over?
