~ Food Has Power ~
So how's it made ? When I have time, I make one with quinoa and millet, cooked with spices, dried apricot and topped with cottage cheese pushed through a sieve and sweetened with maple syrup. slightly sabor intensive, so it's a treat !
I also just found one the other day that I made and turned out wonderfully, bulgur wheat rice pudding !
It's on the Mother Earth News website. The recipe would easily accomodate soaking to remove/reduce phytates. Same recipe could also be adjusted to use pretty much any wholegrain.
The Ingredients
1 cup of Quinoa, 2 cups of water (Alkaline) , 1/2 cup apples (sliced), 1/3 cup raisins, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, almond milk, maple syrup or agave nectar Check out the Alkaline Foods Cookbook for more Alkaline dishes at our website!
this is great! I love that this has an appearance of your typical hot cereal.
I will give this a go!
