I am not sure how to describe this. My head often feels fuzzy (almost numb, in a way). It's uncomfortable. Getting out and walking or exercising, even lightly, makes it worse. And I am tired. You can imagine how it limits me.

I have Fibromyalgia and gut issues (abdominal pain). I am just starting to be more committed to eating optimally. In the meantime, is there anything I can take for my head? What are the causes of this?

I suspect that mercury could be a problem... I don't know if it's the only problem. I have just learned that kombucha and mercury issues do not mix. When I used to buy kombucha at the store, I'd drink too much at a time, not knowing that you should break yourself in slowly. At first, it made me feel terrible and it would bring on a strong brain fuzz. I didn't understand why and assumed that it could be the alcohol content, but I knew that the alcohol content was very small.

If mercury is the cause of my brain fuzz, I may start taking chlorella, food folate, magnesium, zinc, vit C, selenium, and B12.

I am also having my amalgam fillings removed in about a month (by an IAOMT doctor). Only one tooth has amalgams, but it is fully loaded. This makes me nervous, of course, but I really don't want the mercury to leach into my body for the rest of my life. We will probably want to conceive in a about two years, so now is a good time to do this. I am worried about the initial rush of mercury into my body as the amalgams are removed, though.

Do you have any suggestions or advice for me? Thank you so much.

I like to check other things first... other things that i know give me brain fog/fuzz/cotton wool feeling:

-low blood sugar: am I eating regularly enough for my body with the food it likes best to stay steady (for me that is a solid protein source and a complex carb and veggies) I need to eat my meals 5 hours apart and have a small snack 2.5 hours between meals due to nursing.
-lack of or interrupted sleep: My body likes to be in bed between 9-10pm and to sleep until between 6-8am. Sometimes I need to rest during the day if the night was too interrupted or a nap if my kids let me, LOL.
-movement: my brain clears up from a gentle 20 minute walk... right now just once a day but i am hoping it will like to walk more often or longer or something. walking is nice.
-caffeine: any caffeine brings on gut issues and the brain fog for me. So one of my detox pathways is not working well.. for now I just don't do caffeine. I may try it again in a couple years if/when I get my detox pathways working better...

There are a lot of food changes you can make to help your fibro and gut issues. I think there are many posts on this site and in the different blogs that are linked to it that have discussed it..
