uncircumcised toddler's infected penis

My uncircumcised 2-year-old has an infection under the foreskin.  It's swollen and painful to him.  His pediatrician wants to put him on antibiotics, but I'd like to know if there are natural remedies.  The doctor also suggested a topical antibiotic, but I'd rather avoid any antibiotics.  Does anyone think it would be safe to put Manuka honey under the foreskin on the abscess?

I don't know how long this has been an issue. For ds, I'd soak in a tub with Epsom salt water and put a bit of coconut oil on it. Did they culture any drainage for a proper diagnosis and antibiotic selection?

Yes, she took a culture but results wont be back until after the weekend. 

This just started this morning from what I can tell. Ive never seem him infected before.

Ill be sure to do those things. Soaking is great as I feel and so did the dr. Just want to see if I should try to beat the infection naturally. I want to make sure Im doing the right thing!!
