~ Food Has Power ~
Hello, i have discovered that i have elevated mercury levels, blastocystus hominis and my immune system is attacking my thyroid, so a nutritionalist has advised me to completely give up gluten and dairy and i am on probiotics, a whole food multivitamin called moringa oleifera, eskimo fish oil and sun chlorella as well as additional vitamin c and d3. My question is related to chlorella. I have read elsewhere on this site that it is not really good for breastfeeding as it does not excrete the mercury, and i contacted sun chlorella who gave me the info at the bottom of this post. It doesn't say that its definitely safe, but there are so many other sites which also say chlorella is safe like Dr Mercolas. So why is it considered unsafe then?
Also am considering adding fermented foods in but was told that the pH miracle advises against all fermented foods though not sure why.
Not really sure what i can do to help eliminate the bacteria and get rid of the mercury whilst i am planning to breastfeed for a long time but feeling terrible all the time with bad stomach, hair falling out and depressed/anxious a lot.
Also been reading about phytic acid and the problem with grains, nuts, seeds and beans/lentils. Am now starting to soak them overnight but reading that even that is not enough esp for nuts which need to roasted or dehydrated. There is so much conflicting info and evn grains apparently are not just to be soaked, but need to be sprouted or fermented first. Can someone clear up the confusion about this as i need something easy to manage and quick and not taking half my life up, because i have a baby who doesn't sleep long enough to allow me to do all this. One site says to keep soaking water from brown rice as a starter which can then be used to soak a variety of things since it contains phytase. Has anyone tried this? Am doing this currently...

[Purpose] While the consumption of the seafood in the global scale increases rapidly in recent years, instructions for pregnant women concerning an influence on fetuses by mercury in fishery products have announced in Japan including the U.S.A. and the U.K. Chlorella (Parachlorella beyerinckii CK-5) has been already reported to detoxify various toxic substances such as cadmium, PCB, dioxin, and lead. In this study, chlorella was examined its effects on the absorption and excretion of methyl mercury. [Methods] Female C57BL/6N mice of 8 weeks old were orally administered an aqueous solution of methyl mercury chloride (MeHgCl) at 5 mg/kg alone (Mercury group) or together with concomitant administration of a dry powder preparation of chlorella as 5 % and 10 % of the diet (Chlorella groups). Blood, liver, kidney and brain samples were collected at 3 weeks after the administration and determined for mercury concentrations in those samples. During the study, feces and urine excreted were also collected and examined the mercury concentrations. [Results and Discussion] Mercury concentrations in blood from 1 week after the administration were significantly lower in the Chlorella groups than in the Mercury group. On the other hand, the excretion amount of mercury in feces and urine were significantly higher in the Chlorella groups than in the Mercury group. These results suggested decreasing internal mercury level by accelerating removal of absorbed mercury from the body. |
