~ Food Has Power ~
After an MRI, I'm told I have a bone spur on C7 which needs surgery. This will involving removing that portion of my spine and inserting new bone from the bone bank. Although I normally take no medication, for the past 2 weeks I have been on round-the-clock doses of pain pill & muscle relaxers.
I have read that curcumin can be of benefit for the pain as well as applying heated linseed oil to the area.
Although I am not 100% raw, a large portion of my diet is normally raw. Coincidentally, prior to this occuring, we were packing & moving thus eating lots of pizza and takeout subs to save time.
I'm wondering if anyone has been able to reverse a condition such as this with a 100% raw diet as well as the remedies I'm reading about with the curcumin and linseed oil.

Beth, I don't know about bone spurs or those alternatives.
Have you seen a chiro for a second opinion? I mention this as dh had two bulging discs at C4 and C5 and we saw an orthopedic surgeon who said "must operate" and saw a neurosurgeon who said "must operate" and the chiro got dh off round the clock muscle relaxers, pain meds and sleeping meds due to the pain. Took a few weeks to wean and then resolve the issues. That was 4 or 5 years ago now. And no surgery.
