Would you like some varied and novel suggestions for quick, handy, protein rich snacks, especially those including tuna, eggs, beans and chicken. I hope everyone will chime with a few favorite ideas for kids!

Have you tried alternatives of fish/crab/oyster/sardine/salmon in place of tuna in patties, salmon cakes, salads, fish-melts, etc. with various spices and bits of carrot, celery, onion, peppers, mayo, breading, etc and fish salads with cucumber, greens, tomato, beans, etc. And chicken can be done as above also.

Also, hummus in an assortment of bean dips is fun for kids, include various spices and herbs and veggies, such as tomatoes, avocado chunks, on organic corn chips or with melted cheeses, or as bean spread on sandwiches with other veggies on top. Or make 'lettuce wraps' with any combo of these ingredients, including fish or meat, or spiced up with Indian or Mexican flavors, with or without cheese or peppers.

Free-range pastured raw eggs are lovely in smoothies or in custards, mouse, puddings, or homemade mayos with various spices and herbs for dipping, or as spreads, or as salad dressings.

Shredded chicken as BBQ, or "kabobs" skewers are always fun. There are infinite marinades with mustards and Indian or Italian spices...
