~ Food Has Power ~
So glad I found Heal Thyself. I've been on a journey to increase my health since I started TTC 6 years ago. It's been a long and challenging time but I'm so blessed as my very dear 14 month old son is asleep on me as I type. 2 years ago I was considering giving TTC one last shot via IVF and then giving it all up and adopting if it did not work out. We gave it one last shot after I'd done a few juice cleanses. At the same time, my husband and I attended a seminar on assisted conception and booked an appointment to get things rolling - we could not afford IVF, but if I were to egg share, i.e. donate some of my eggs, then I'd be treated at a massively reduced cost. I made peace with this and we decided to proceed. First consultation for this treatment was on a Thursday. That same week, on the Tuesday, I found out we were pregnant. Fast forward to now, and I'm the happiest, most contented mother in existence. I want the best for my little family, hence my quest for health and healing with food continues.
So, I fell pregnant naturally. This was not my first pregnancy, it was my 5th. I'd survived 4 early miscarriages. I took low-dose aspirin till I was 36 weeks pregnant as I'd been diagnosed with a raised TEG - ThromboElastoGram. In lay man terms, I had a blood clotting issue. I'd also had fibroids in situ, and the bulk of these were surgically removed in 2007. 5 big ones that had my uterus measuring like a 14 week pregnancy. I still have fibroids, 2-3 small ones. Another reason I'm here - I want to zap them naturally. I'm 37 and I would love more natural babies. At least 2 more.
So, a question to you lovely people, is there a natural alternative to aspirin? I know there are foods containing salicylic acid, but what are they and how much would I have to take to equal 75 milligrams of aspirin? Also, has anyone shrunk/healed fibroids or is anyone dealing with these at present? How to go about it please?
Many thanks in advance.
Also, I just realised I posted this entry before it was complete, I apologise for any confusion!
