No, I haven't. I don't have any health insurance right now and doubt that I can afford that. Any way of figuring it out with out the test? Thanks, angela
Do you live in the north? I think the winter can make psoriasis worse. I would try the diet suggestions on this site, such as kefir and healthful fats. Also exercise and lots of sleep (which I'm sure is at a premium!). I don't know if you're on thyroid meds, but there are dietary helps for that as well.
you might check into the dermatitis form of celiac disease. There are some major connections between celiac disease and thyroid - specifically hashimotos. There are also connections between something called "silent celiac" and thyroid....All those symptoms sound a lot like trying to eliminate gluten would be helpful though you might get the bloodwork done just to verify before going gluten free. a big reason to do the test (which still could come back negative -- lots of false negatives from what understand-- is so that you can claim gluten free foods as part of your medical ; however, you can do your own elimination diet and get the info on the web. Lots of great info from Pat, lots of great info about celiac disease from so many sources. Just make sure if you go gluten Free that you also remove the gluten from your body care.....Dessert Organics and Himalya something (blue bottles) are gluten free. Make sure it's out of your lipstick as well, or you'll continue to injest it. Afterglow cosmetics makes great products. With cosmetics, there are other names besides wheat, rye, barley....so finding an actual gluten free product is the best way to go!
That book can be gotten off Amazon. Yes, no reason to get expensive tests....and in fact, if you have no ins, you might not want to b/c you don't want a pre-exisiting condition like celiac to show up.
Good luck and hope you can find some answers!
check into the book http://www.thyroidbook.com/ great info!
