~ Food Has Power ~
Hi all!!
A friend of mine just found out she has trichinosis (a pork parasite). She is celiac and already eats pretty clean (non-GMO, no gluten, no dairy, etc). She is still nursing her toddler and neither are ready to wean yet (he'll be 2 in May). The functional doc's NP wants her to go on a 10 day antibiotic treatment which she CANNOT nurse during. She's in tears as she knows not to take the antibiotic because her gut is already so messed up.
Her NP agreed to give her 3 months to turn this around or she wants to MAKE her take the antibiotic. Oh and her adrenals are shot, tests show very low cortisol.
Any suggestions for what food, herbs, EO, "concoctions", etc to try? I started her on water kefir last fall.
She's willing to try any natural remedy especially if it means she won't need to stop nursing.
Thank you all so much!!
