~ Food Has Power ~
My five year old nephew has extreme knee and shin pain each night. He is good and active during the day, but at night it is extreme and cannot be quelled by pain meds. He has had blood work and they have ruled out cancer and many other things, and tomorrow is having an MRI. Anyone out there heard of such symptoms?

I have a few kids who have had these symptoms and I myself had them when I was growing up. They told me it was growing pains (my bones would grow faster then my skin or something like that). Massaging them helped a lot (my father would do it when I was younger, and when I got 12-14 I did it myself). I've done the same for my kids and it helps. One of the things that had helped me, was sometimes to where slippers and other times to go bear feet on a cold floor... The pain was so intense, I couldn't even walk, I crawled myself to the bathroom and cried myself to sleep. (The cold floor helped of the bathroom helped, it didn't take the pain away, but it helped.)
I'm not saying this is what your nephew has, but that's what it was for us. It would only occur at night and not during the day.
This can be a sign of food allergies in some. Can you try journalling the food he is eating to see if there is a pattern?
Otherwise, consider craniosacral work - there could a locked mechanism in place that is preventing the bones from moving (and yes, bones do move even when we aren't consciously doing it).
