I think stress can definitely play a role. Sorry it's been a stressful time!
Are you getting adequate fats? Are you drinking nettle infusions? Nettles can help you get back on track, if you aren't. If you want to dig into it more, we probably need to know more about your diet, your age, other relevant factors. There have been some similar discussions before though, so you might be able to pick up what you need there.

Are you very under or overweight? I've had friends with too little body fat lose their menstrual cycle. Adding fats to your diet such as butter, coconut oil, nuts, nut butters, egg yolks, olive oil can help to increase calorie intake. Also, consider nutrient imbalances? Nettles infusions can help to regulate hormonal balance by replacing missing vitamins and minerals.
