Pat,  How long do you think milk Kefir's shelf life is once it is strained and placed in the fridge?

Officially, I'd say a week or 2. But, I've used it after a month or two. :-)

Maybe cook with it if it is old and you used raw milk?

Historically, milk kefir was not refrigerated.

Thanks Pat,

I am using raw goat milk.  I was considering refrigerating it to slow down the fermentation once it has cultured, I was thinking it would last longer.  Am I incorrect?  Thanks for your time in answering me. Your work is much appreciated!

yes, it will last  longer refrigerated
