Glutamate is a neurotransmitter important for learning and short term memory. It can get turned into GABA. GABA is an important inhibitory neurotransmitter.

The conversion process is limited with metal toxicity, especially aluminum. It can also be damaged by viruses, and it requires B6.

Symptoms of low GABA are:
difficulty distinguishing voices in a loud room
impaired speech
anxiety
aggressive behavior
poor socialization
poor eye contact
nystagmus
constipation

Excess glutamate wastes glutathione and can produce heart cell dysfunction and gut inflammation.

The situation is helped with
dietary taurine
grape seed extract
balancing copper/zinc
magnesium
chelating metals, especially mercury

Ways to deal with excess glutamate. Highlights include taurine, magnesium, B6, and CoQ10, with explanations of the mechanism of action.
Recently tried Grape seed extract it really lifted the brain fog, improved my complextion but also at the same time make me kind of drowsy. May be drowsiness is from the fact that it it is converting to GABA. What are your thoughts on this?

It has been two days since I started Grape seed extract. I have noticed my digestion is improved, from time to time used to experience really noisy gas on my left side of stomach and it is gone with JUST one capsule and I am so happy :) Secondly, I am not very hungry, really this is very unusual for me... also I used to crave meat but not any more. Iam really perplexed by this new attitude towards meat. I like it but doesn't understand why is it happening?
Also, I got my FolaPro, really very excited about it .... just tried 400 once and I'll say my brain was calmer ,I had more control over my emotions but didn't see any positive effect on my sleep yet.
