~ Food Has Power ~
Hi all,
My 57 year old mother suffers from many lipomas. They are primarily in her forearms. In trying to find treatment for them, mainstream doctors don't seem to be a lot of help as they don't know exactly what causes them. And since they are considered "benign" by them, they won't remove them other than for cosmetic purposes ($$$).
I've started doing some research for her and it seems to me they are caused by a build up of toxins as well as a sluggish liver that is unable to process and remove the toxins, so they get sequestered in fat cells in an attempt to get rid of them through the integumentary system (skin).
Does anyone have any experience in treating (and preventing) these? She's tried a few different herbal combinations with the assistance of her herbalist, to no success. I feel like she needs to do some major detoxification, cleansing, and support of her liver (probably with a candida cleanse), but first perhaps some investigation and changes in her lifestyle as to where these toxins are coming from in the first place and remove them.
She eats decently in terms of fruits and veggies, lean meats, and steering clear of processed foods most of the time, but she doesn't buy organic, cooks with tephlon pans, uses well water for showering, cooking, washing (but drinks filtered water), and lives in a 200+ yr old farm house (lead paint, asbestos, possibly radon, etc.). My parents house is also surrounded by farmland of which the farmer used quite a bit of pesticides on his undoubtedly GMO corn and other crops.
My 2 youngers sisters and father live there as well, and none of them have any lipomas.
Suggestions, comments, ideas?
Thanks!

I'd focus on MAGNESIUM, zinc, food folate (beans, greens, liver and legumes) to support the body's detoxification system. Vit A and D, Omega 3, avoiding Omega 6 (corn oil, canola oil). And I'd do black seed oil (nigella sativa) which is anti-inflammatory.
And avoid inflammatory foods: commercial dairy (hidden dairy), GMO-corn and GMO-soy and wheat/gluten for at least 6 weeks.
