Prolactin is inhibited by dopamine. So lots of milk would point towards low dopamine. Which is related to homocysteine, but the line definitely isn't straight.

if homocysteine was high that would mean that prolactin was low? i might be remembering this wrong, i'll have to check later but, i have alot of milk so... (if i remembered what you wrote this wouldn't be an issue) btw you and your dd are super-cute in the movies and thank you soo soo soo much for putting them together and puttign them up. very thoughtful. :)

I asked my regular doctor, and we did a blood test to look for mutations in the MTHFR gene, and it was covered by insurance. We called it prenatal screening. If your kids have midline defects, that would be good motivation to ask for it, as would any family history of stroke/blood clots/cardiovascular problems. Those are all symptoms of high homocysteine, so testing your homocysteine in addition can tell you a lot there, too.
